Savannah River Remediation’s construction team recently achieved a major safety milestone – 12 consecutive years with more than 22.7 million hours of work without an injury causing a lost day at work. The importance of this achievement is underscored when compared to the national average of one lost day of work every 118,000 hours.

Savannah River Remediation, the liquid waste contractor at the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site, has a single mission of tank closure and risk reduction. The contract is managed by a team of companies led by URS with partners Bechtel National, CH2M Hill and Babcock & Wilcox.
