Los Alamos Cleanup Work Featured in New York Times

New York Times recently featured environmental cleanup work being performed by Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) with funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

LANL has received $212 million in ARRA funding by the U.S. Department of Energy to clean up a six-acre site in Los Alamos, New Mexico, that is contaminated with radioactive and explosive debris that dates back to the Manhattan Project era. Read the story.

LANL is managed and operated by Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS). LANS is operated by Bechtel National, Inc. and the University of California.
