Bechtel has honored 68 companies for outstanding work on power projects at the annual Subcontractor and Supplier Recognition awards program held by Bechtel’s Power business unit. The awards recognize subcontractors and suppliers that are involved in renewables, nuclear, communications and transmission, and fossil projects.
The recipients of the top awards are:
- Subcontractor of the Year: Nooter Construction Company,
- Supplier of the Year, Power Generation Equipment : Toshiba International Corporation
- Supplier of the Year, Balance of Plant Equipment: Howden Denmark A/S
“These companies are just as committed to delivering quality projects safely as we are,” said Alasdair Cathcart, president of Bechtel’s Power business. “Their dedication and commitment are critical to the success of our projects and our company, and we appreciate the value they bring to the table. We are honored to have them as partners.”
Companies were evaluated on multiple factors. They include overall performance; the ability to deliver quality equipment on time; the ability to work collaboratively to meet milestones; and meeting or exceeding project expectations in aspects of safety, construction performance, technical expertise, and environmental compliance. Nominations were submitted by Bechtel project procurement and construction managers, and final recommendations were approved by senior-most leadership within Bechtel’s Power business.
