Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project in Idaho has completed its first American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) goals to accelerate the removal of radioactive waste. In addition to creating more than 50 jobs on the project,  the federal stimulus funded effort safely removed 1,400 cubic meters of waste several years in advance.

The ARRA work was completed in addition to the project's ongoing work. Read the DOE's announcement to learn more.
