Bechtel Jacobs Receives Governor’s Safety Award
Oak Ridger features Bechtel Jacobs Co. receiving the Governor’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development for its safety in cleanup work at Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Bechtel Jacobs, owned by Bechtel and Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., has worked at Oak Ridge since 1998. In 2003, the Department of Energy awarded Bechtel Jacobs a contract for accelerated environmental site cleanup which will complete the cleanup project 21 years ahead of schedule.
