Lucy Martin is President of Bechtel’s Mining & Metals (M&M) global business unit, working alongside our customers to develop and deliver projects to meet the increasing demand for critical minerals essential to global progress.
Throughout a career of 25 years with Bechtel, Lucy has held a succession of senior executive leadership, operational, and general management positions.
These roles include Chief Financial Officer, Strategy, Marketing and Business Development, Manager and General Manager for South America and Asia Pacific. In these roles she led the teams responsible for several major new contracts.
She has also worked for Australian energy generator AGL, where she held the role of General Manager of Major Projects. In this role she was responsible for the development and execution of renewable energy projects including large scale wind and grid scale battery projects.
In over 20 years of international experience, Lucy has worked in a variety of capacities on five continents, in M&M, Energy and Infrastructure GBUs. Key projects that Lucy has worked on include Tay Wastewater project (UK), Alba Line 5 expansion project (Bahrain), Fjarðaál Smelter project (Iceland) and Caval Ridge project (Australia).
Lucy was elected Principal Vice President in 2019 and Senior Vice President in 2025.
