Bechtel Wins SGR Contract at Davis-Besse
Bechtel Power Corporation has been awarded a contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for replacing the two once-through steam generators and the reactor vessel closure head at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station in Oak Harbor, Ohio. Operated by FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC), Davis-Besse is a pressurized water reactor producing 908 megawatts (MW) of electricity, enough to power 450,000 homes.
