The offshore wind sector has gained global recognition as an attractive market, with the UK leading the way with the second largest operational capacity, whilst also contributing significantly to its clean energy transition. One exciting development is the Celtic Sea Cluster, located off the coast of Cornwall and between Wales and Ireland.
Last year we saw The Crown Estate open a leasing opportunity in the Celtic Sea for the first generation of commercial scale floating offshore wind farms, to potentially unlock up to 4GW of clean energy capacity between 2030 and 2035. The Crown Estate is looking to launch the three-stage tender this year. It is estimated that offshore floating wind in the Celtic Sea could unlock 3,000 jobs and £682 million in supply chain opportunities by 2030.
Bechtel's Dan Benson, business development manager, Offshore Wind will join a contractors panel to share his thoughts on industrialisation. Join the event for an insightful discussion on the future of renewable energy.
Dive deeper into the Celtic Sea Industrial Cluster, exploring its sustainable development plans for a long-term international industry base that will deliver sustainable jobs and growth for the region. We will hear from the major players and partnerships already involved and find out about the host of supply chain possibilities now and in the future.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about this exciting new chapter in the clean energy revolution.
