Joe St. Julian
General Manager, Water and Pipeline
Joe St. Julian is general manager of the Water and Pipeline business line in Bechtel's Oil, Gas & Chemicals global business unit. He was elected a principal vice president in 2013.
Joe has nearly 25 years of experience and a diverse background in construction, project controls, project management, strategic planning, and commercial management. He has worked in the oil and gas, power, civil, nuclear, and government sectors.
Previously, Joe served as a project manager at the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) in Richland, Washington, a $15 billion nuclear waste processing facility which immobilizes radioactive liquid waste through vitrification. Before WTP, Joe served as the business manager for Bechtel Jacobs Company, a Bechtel subsidiary contracted by the U.S. Department of Energy to remediate and decommission nuclear facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Before joining Bechtel, Joe held various positions, including EPC litigation manager, project manager for a 1,200-megawatt natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant, and corporate director of Project Controls.
Joe holds a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College. He is a certified Six Sigma champion and holds a Bechtel General Management Plan certificate.
