We have provided service to customers in the United Kingdom for more than 60 years, designing and building projects including power plants, refineries, rail systems, and communication networks and supporting national defence.

Our London office has taken a lead role in some of the UK's most important projects, including the West Coast Main Line, and Channel Tunnel and High Speed 1, the nation's first high-speed rail line.

Today, we are working with the Defence Equipment and Support team to assist the government in procuring military equipment efficiently and cost-effectively.

We are working on the renovation of three lines of the London Underground.

A Bechtel-led team is also overseeing construction of a 13-mile (21-kilometer) tunnel that will be the centerpiece of Crossrail, a new railway connecting London to commuter areas east and west of the city.

Ongoing work also includes gas development, refinery, and liquefied natural gas projects in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Current and recent projects include the Reliance Jamnagar Export project, partly engineered in London, which has taken the capacity of this refinery to 1.2 million barrels per day. Other projects include major gas processing facilities in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, as well as the Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
