As part of the National Building Museum’s exhibit called Secret Cities: The Architecture and Planning of the Manhattan Project, Bechtel sponsored a panel. 2018 marked the 75th anniversary of the Manhattan Project, the massive scientific and industrial effort to produce the world’s first two atomic weapons during World War II.

Bechtel Selected to Participate in U.S. Versatile Test Reactor Program

Bechtel has been selected to participate in the research and development phase of a program critically important to the future of  advanced nuclear power reactors in the U.S. With nuclear industry leader GE Hitachi, the team will advance the conceptual design and cost estimates for the Versatile Test Reactor planned for the U.S. Department of Energy.
