Bechtel announced it has received the notice to proceed with the construction of two natural gas liquefaction trains on the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project in Texas. Bechtel is designing and building the liquid natural gas (LNG) export facility for Cheniere Energy, Inc.

Bechtel announced business results for 2014 that demonstrate the company’s financial strength and solid performance. Revenue for 2014 totalled $37.2 billion. New Work Booked was $18.4 billion, and Backlog remains strong at $70.5 billion.

Bechtel Mining & Metals global operations manager, Andy Phelps, has been awarded the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Outstanding Projects and Leaders (OPAL) Lifetime Achievement Award for construction. The OPAL awards honor civil engineering leaders who have demonstrated outstanding lifetime achievement leadership and a long-term commitment to excellence.

Bechtel-affiliated Sites Honored for Sustainability Excellence

The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded three Bechtel-affiliated sites a total of five Sustainability Awards for 2014. The winners were recognized for helping aid the department in meeting its sustainability goals, driving improvements in waste management, energy and water use, and pollution prevention.
