The awards are given by Engineering News-Record (ENR), a leading publication that covers the engineering and construction industry. The awards recognize projects for their safe and innovative solutions to design and building challenges, international teamwork, contribution to industry and the community, as well as quality of design and construction work.

Bechtel today announced business results for 2012 that demonstrate the company’s continued financial strength and solid performance across multiple industries. Bechtel had revenue of $37.9 billion, up 15 percent from the previous year, and new contract awards of $23.9 billion, down from the previous year’s unprecedented performance of $53 billion. Bechtel ended the year with project backlog of $92 billion.
