Bechtel-UC Wins Incentive and Contract Extension at Los Alamos Lab

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) was awarded nearly 88 percent of the total incentive fee by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) for its 2008 performance. A one-year contract extension was also awarded.

Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) is formed by Bechtel National, Inc.; University of California; The Babcock & Wilcox Company; and the Washington Division of URS Corporation to manage and operate LANL. LANS was awarded the contract in December 2005 and assumed the laboratory’s management and operations role on June 1, 2006.
