Bechtel Takes the Gold for Driving Safety Challenge Online Course

Bechtel Corporation announced today that it has received a Brandon Hall Custom Content Gold Award for its Driving Safety Challenge online training course. The Bechtel course teaches driver safety techniques through “real life” hazard simulations. The aim is to improve driving skills of Bechtel employees, especially those who spend some of their working day in a vehicle, by increasing their awareness of how to react effectively to challenges on the road.

Bechtel to Proceed on Major Texas Refinery Expansion

Bechtel has received approval to proceed with detailed design and construction equivalent to building the nation’s first new refinery in more than 30 years. On Friday, the owners of Motiva Enterprises LLC (jointly owned by Saudi Refining, Inc. and Shell Oil Co.) approved the final investment for the project, which will add 325,000 barrels per day (b/d) to its Port Arthur, Tex., refinery.
