Bechtel Helps House Nearly 100,000 Hurricane Victims in Mississippi

Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI) has now installed more than 35,000 temporary housing units for Mississippi residents displaced by Hurricane Katrina. The effort by BNI, under contract to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), has set a record for speed in housing people after a U.S. disaster, say federal and state officials.

The Big Dig, or Central Artery/Tunnel project has cut the average trip through downtown Boston from 19.5 minutes to 2.8 minutes and will generate $7 billion in private investment and create tens of thousands of jobs, according to a Boston consulting firm.
