On April 25, 2003, Curaçao Airport Partners, a consortium led by Alterra Partners—an affiliate of Bechtel Enterprises—signed a 30-year concession agreement to develop and operate Curaçao International Airport in the Netherlands Antilles. The Consortium also includes Trabajos Industriales y Mecánicos, C.A. and Janssen de Jong.

The series was fundamentally flawed by a profound misunderstanding of the professional role of the management consultant vis-à-vis the state of Massachusetts and other consultants and contractors, ignorance of the immense challenges of underground construction in a historic urban area, misrepresentations of key facts, and a flagrant resort to innuendo.

The Millmerran Power facility, an 840 megawatt, coal-fired power plant, was dedicated in a ceremony attended by Queensland Premier Peter Beattie and other federal, state and local dignitaries. The $900 million power plant and supporting infrastructure represents the second largest private investment in Queensland and the largest such project in the world to be funded on a non-recourse project finance basis.

Intergen Announces Plan to Install Emissions Control Technology on Boarder Power Facility in Mexico

InterGen announced a plan to install additional Selective Catalytic Reduction technology (SCR) on its La Rosita Energy Facility in Mexicali, Mexico. SCR technology significantly reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx), a precursor to smog. SCR is the best commercially available pollution technology to reduce NOx and is required for new plants in California.
