T6 Partners To Enter Negotiations With The City Of Chicago To Build New Terminal 6 At O´hare International Airport
"We are gratified that we will have the opportunity to bring a world-class team with the right depth of experience and local talent to work with one of the great cities in the world," said Bechtel Infrastructure Chairman Lee McIntire. "When completed, this terminal will be a gateway to millions of people who travel to and through Chicago. We are honored to have the opportunity to partner with the City of Chicago to design and build this world-class facility."
T6 Partners is led by Bechtel Infrastructure, a member of the Bechtel group of companies. Bechtel, which has managed some of the most ambitious civil engineering projects of the 21st century, has been consistently ranked by Engineering News Record as No. 1 in the industry in multiple categories, including "Transportation Contractor," "Design Build Firms," "U.S. Heavy Civil Contractor" and "Top 400 Contractors." The Design/Build Institute of America also ranked Bechtel as No. 1 for the year 2000.
Altogether, members of the partnership have played a significant role in the development of dozens of airport terminals around the world, including Terminal 3 at O'Hare, Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, New York's John F. Kennedy, and airports in Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Saudi Arabia and others.
