Bechtel’s Impact Report

Colleagues making a difference: Clint Rawson

We caught up with colleagues who are making a difference in their communities as a response to COVID-19. In this series, we learn how each of them is stepping up and what they’ve learned in the process.

When Clint Rawson, an equipment superintendent at Bechtel’s Pennsylvania Chemicals project in Potter Township, PA, arrived at Gleaners Food Bank, he was overwhelmed.

“That place, [Gleaners Food Bank], was empty,” says Clint. “There wasn’t even a bag of rice on the shelves.”

Clint arrived to drop off hundreds of pounds of food gathered from a no-contact food drive in his small neighborhood in Pennsylvania. After leaving flyers in the mailboxes of about 80 of his neighbors requesting canned goods for the food bank, about 50 to 60 homes contributed enough food to fill the bed of his truck.

Gleaners quickly went from empty shelves to serving an abundance of families because of the food donation.

Hear Clint’s inspiring story and how neighbors are still stepping up to help.
