José M. Adriasola

José M. Adriasola is a principal engineer in the area of hydraulics and hydrology, and works in Bechtel's Santiago office in Chile. Currently, he leads the Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering Services (G&HES) group dedicated to the Mining and Metals business. He has 19 years of experience, most of them working for the mining industry.

José holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in hydraulics and hydrology, both obtained in Universidad Católica de Chile. José joined Bechtel in 2008 as a senior hydraulic engineer and he was elected Bechtel Distinguished Engineer and Scientist (BDES) in 2013.

José’s technical skills and expertise include hydrology, stormwater drainage, design of hydraulic structures, in-plant slurry handling and long distance slurry transport. He was part time professor at two Chilean universities: Universidad de Los Andes (2005-2009) and Universidad Católica de Chile (2010-2014). He has also published more than 15 technical articles in international conferences and journals related to his areas of expertise.
