Joining Bechtel in mid-2012, Joanna has extensive experience in successfully managing Project communications, Community Relations, and delivering in issues management and coordination on both direct hire and contract management projects.
Joanna also has experience in Project Risk Management, Quality and as a Qualified Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (drone) pilot supporting drone operations for Bechtel in Australia.

As part of the delivery of the Amrun bauxite mine project in Australia, Bechtel utilized virtual reality to engage the local Aboriginal Traditional Owners – the Wik-Waya people.
The Amrun Project encompasses the engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) of a range of infrastructure required to support a new bauxite mine on part of Rio Tinto’s existing lease, south of the Embley River, between Weipa and Aurukun on the Western Cape York Peninsular, Queensland, Australia.
