Lucy Martin is the manager of Bechtel's Mining and Metals strategy and marketing/business development. Prior to that role, Lucy served as general manager of the Mining and Metals bulk material handling business.
Lucy, who joined Bechtel in 2000, has worked in a variety of capacities on four continents, in three of Bechtel's global business units: Mining and Metals, Oil, Gas and Chemicals, and Water. Among the many projects on which she has worked are the Tay Wastewater project (UK), Alba Line 5 expansion project (Bahrain), Fjardaal Smelter project (Iceland) and Caval Ridge project (Australia). In 2012, she became the Asia Pacific business development manager and since then has served in various roles in business development including, most recently, as the business development manager for the bulk materials handling business.
She has also served as productivity program manager, developing execution strategies to support proposal development primarily in the Asia Pacific region, and also environmental chief engineer for the Mining and Metals global business unit.
Lucy holds a Bachelor of engineering (Hons) in Chemical Process engineering from University of Sheffield, UK.
