Manager of Project Controls
Scott Edmunds is the manager of Project Controls at Bechtel. He leads approximately 1,200 professionals deployed throughout the company’s global operations. In this role, Scott focuses on increasing collaboration across the company’s project controls organization. He also manages the Big Data and Analytics Center to help improve the speed of data delivery to allow time for proper analysis.
From 2011 to 2015, Scott served as Bechtel’s commercial manager on the Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project in Australia. Gladstone was one of three LNG facilities built for three different customers in one location. He played a key role in successful project completion and delivery to the customer.
During his 25-year career, Scott has held leadership positions in project controls management, project planning, cost control, and estimating. He has provided effective project controls on numerous Oil, Gas & Chemicals (OG&C) projects ranging from $10 million to $9 billion in the U.S. and internationally. This includes the Motiva refinery expansion project, the Angola and Atlantic LNG projects, and several Chevron petrochemical projects, among many others.
During 2003 to 2004 he served as executive assistant to the president of Bechtel’s OG&C business. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and management from Purdue University and an MBA from LeTourneau University.
