Angelos is Senior Principal Engineer in the Hydraulics and Hydrology (H&H) group of Geotechnical & Hydraulic Engineering Services (G&HES).  He was selected as Bechtel Fellow in 1998.

Angelos has over 40 years of experience, 39 of which with Bechtel, supporting feasibility and planning studies, licensing, and preliminary and detailed design of large engineering and construction projects for commercial and government market sectors. Project experience encompasses civil infrastructure, fossil and nuclear power plants, nuclear processing and radioactive waste storage facilities, mining and metal processing facilities, and environmental cleanup and restoration. Technical expertise includes environmental and engineering hydraulics, hydrology, contaminant fate and transport, groundwater modeling and water resources planning and management.

Angelos has served on different committees of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the International Association of Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR).  He served as a Vice President of IAHR in 2015-17 and is currently serving as Editor of IAHR’s Hydrolink quarterly magazine.  He has authored or co-authored 33 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and 66 papers presented in national and international conferences.  He has edited one book on groundwater management practices and the proceedings of two conferences on groundwater. 

Angelos is Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, where he teaches a class on water resources management.
