Bechtel Marks Major Milestone at McCarran Airport Expansion Project
Bechtel has achieved a major milestone at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, NV: substantial completion of the Terminal 3 building. Retailers, airlines, and airport services are now fitting the completed building with finishings prior to the new terminal opening later in June. Bechtel is managing the $2.4 billion expansion project for the Clark County Department of Aviation. The new terminal will increase capacity of the airport to 53 million passengers per year as compared with the 2007 peak of nearly 48 million passengers.

Bechtel Awarded EPC Contract for New Solar Power Project
Bechtel has been awarded a contract by enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the Catalina Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Generating Project in Kern County in Southern California. Bechtel will also build the 7.2 mile (11.6 kilometer) transmission line to connect the facility to a nearby substation.

Bechtel Corporation today announced its business results for 2011, highlighting another strong year in which the company delivered solid performance. Bechtel had revenue of $32.9 billion, up 18 percent from the previous year, and new contract awards totaled $53 billion, more than double 2010 performance. Bechtel ended the year with project backlog of $104 billion.
