Company’s Industry-Leading Experts to Speak at International Roads Conference

Bechtel announced today that three of the company’s leading authorities on infrastructure will share their views at the 1st International Road Federation Asia regional conference. The event, which takes place November 17-19 in Bali, Indonesia, will showcase global best practices for designing and building roads, and experts will discuss how they can be replicated or adapted to meet Asia’s needs. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Building the Trans-Asian Highway’.

Bechtel’s featured speakers at the conference are:
  • Brian Corbin, global head of strategy for Bechtel’s civil infrastructure business. Corbin will speak on managing complex project delivery and give real-life examples of how collaborative behavior can drive successful project completion.
  • Andrew Patterson, Bechtel’s global infrastructure manager for roads, bridges, and industrial cities. He will share insights on training workforces in emerging economies and present best practices derived from training local employees in Southeast Asia, Australia, Africa and Southeast Europe.
  • Bechtel’s civil infrastructure business manager for the Asia Pacific region, Mark Argar, who will focus on the affordability of resilient infrastructure. He will explain how Bechtel is helping customers plan, design, build, and rebuild infrastructure to cope with extreme weather and share insights on the topic from Bechtel’s civil infrastructure sustainability manager Dr. Elisabeth Culbard.
