Company Delivers Strong Year of Performance

  • Backlog - $104 billion

Bechtel Corporation today announced its business results for 2011, highlighting another strong year in which the company delivered solid performance.  Bechtel had revenue of $32.9 billion, up 18 percent from the previous year, and new contract awards totaled $53 billion, more than double 2010 performance.  Bechtel ended the year with project backlog of $104 billion.

Bechtel’s unwavering commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality were evidenced in 2011 through our unparalleled safety record, socially responsible programs, and strong customer relationships.  The company continued its long-standing practice of providing local workers with training that transforms lives by launching a program in Australia to hire 400 adult apprentices for its LNG projects on Curtis Island, while in Angola local workers have completed more than 200,000 hours of training.
