Atlantic Raises the Roof on Fourth LNG Tank

February 1, 2005 Atlantic LNG's Train 4 development passed a significant milestone when the roof was raised on the outer structure of the fourth LNG storage tank being built at the company's Point Fortin plant. Bechtel serves as the main contractor on Atlantic's Train 4 project.

Background on Bechtel's Involvement

In 1996, Bechtel and ConocoPhillips collaborated on the initial Atlantic LNG project - the first major LNG project in the Western Hemisphere in more than 25 years. Subsequently, Bechtel continued expanding the Atlantic LNG facility, building Trains 1, 2, and 3. The fourth train is under construction.

The Atlantic LNG facility now produces approximately 3 million tonnes of LNG annually from bountiful natural gas reserves off Trinidad.
