Bechtel Awarded Contract with Vodafone Australia

June 21, 2004 Bechtel, through an operating unit Bechtel Telecommunications, has been awarded a contract to provide project management and network planning support to Vodafone in Australia as it begins to deploy enhanced 3G services for its customers. The deployment, in the Sydney and Melbourne markets, is the first phase of the planned nationwide rollout for Vodafone, the largest mobile telecommunications operator in the world.
