Bechtel will relocate administrative operations from Phoenix to the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, the company said this week.The new office, at the Talavi Business Park, will employ some 300 people in accounting, human resources and computer systems operations. Over time, Bechtel expects to add up to 200 additional administrative employees in Glendale.
Bechtel Moving Arizona Operation To Glendale
"After evaluating a number of locations in the greater Phoenix area, we selected Glendale as the best location for our operation," said Joe Geary, manager of Bechtel’s Phoenix operations. He cited Glendale’s "business-friendly climate and quality labor pool" as factors contributing to the decision.
I am extremely pleased to welcome Bechtel as our newest corporate citizen," said Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs. "I am excited that such a prominent company recognized the benefit of a Glendale location."
The new office will be Bechtel’s largest administrative operation, serving North America and other areas. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company currently has projects in more than 60 nations.
