As the world's premier engineering, construction, and project management company, Bechtel offers a comprehensive set of benefits to full-time employees, from health insurance to retirement. Here's a basic rundown of benefits available to employees in India:

Insurance
Bechtel provides employees with three types of insurance:

  • Personal Accident Insurance
    If an employee is injured in an accident, all related expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of INR 3 lacs per year.
  • Term Insurance
    Employees are insured for life for a minumum sum of INR 30 lacs. This insured amount is subject to change and is declared every year.
  • Mediclaim Insurance
    Each employee, along with his or her spouse and two children, is insured for INR 4 lacs for hospitalization exceeding 24 hours in India, under family floater Mediclaim policy. Employees have an option of extending their coverage and / or including their parents in Mediclaim Insurance by paying an additional premium.

Retirement Benefits
Employees retiring from Bechtel in India will be eligible for the following benefits:

  • Superannuation Fund
    The Superannuation Fund provides employees with a fixed sum of money at the end of their tenure in the form of a pension; or upon early cessation of service; or in the event of their death, for their spouse or dependants. The company makes a contribution of 10 percent of the employee’s monthly base salary to the employee’s Superannuation Fund. No tax is deducted on the Superannuation contribution.
  • All BIPL employees retiring from the company will continue to receive medical insurance benefits as provided on the last day of the employee’s service with Bechtel. This benefit will be provided for the same number of years that the person was employed by Bechtel.

Additional Benefits
Additional benefits include service and milestone awards, reward and recognition programs, special allowance for 3D skilled professionals, health and well-being
activities, merit scholarships for children of full-time employees, company-sponsored credit card and more.
