Bechtel is a world leader in designing and building fossil-fueled generating plants. Our capabilities range from combustion turbine facilities to solid fuel and integrated gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) plants. Bechtel’s standard designs for fossil-generating plants are redefining power generation through lower costs, higher net present value, maximum reliability, and short construction schedules.

For nearly 60 years we have served as the engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and startup contractor of choice for a wide variety of fossil fuel based power generation and process steam facilities as well as modification and retrofits to existing facilities. To date, Bechtel has completed more than 400 facilities which have provided more than 152,000 MW of highly reliable and cost efficient energy throughout the world.
