Featured projects

California Valley Solar Ranch (CVSR) Project, California, USA

Bechtel provided EPC services for the 250 megawatt project, which is one of the largest PV projects in the world. CVSR includes a solar array of more than 750,000 panels, collector system, substation, and related civil infrastructure. We worked with the client to preserve the natural contours of sensitive desert lands and supported plans to protect and provide access to wildlife found on the project, including the kit kangaroo rat. The project is located in San Luis Obispo county, California.

Catalina Solar Photovoltaic Project, California, USA

Bechtel provided EPC services for the 110 megawatt project, which included a solar array of more than 1,230,000 thin film panels, collector system, substation, and related civil infrastructure. Built in the Mojave Desert, we implemented best practices for the protection of artifacts, vegetation, and sensitive species like the San Joaquin kit fox, California condor, and burrowing owls. The project is located in Kern County, California.
