Engineering

To be completed prior to Bechtel Engineering Day: 

1. You are encouraged to complete the Engineering Pre-work by completing the information within the pre-work file attached, eng-prework.doc. Instructions for completing the form are noted on page 1.

 2.  After completing the pre-work by downloading as a Microsoft Word file,  please save your file by typing the letter of your first name followed by last name.  Example: " jdoe_Eng_Pre-work.doc."

3. E-mail the file to EWengin@bechtel.com by January 30, 2013. 

With e-mail include the following: Scout's name, Troop Number, address, phone number, e-mail (if applicable), and Scoutmaster's name who has approved of your taking this class.

4. Bring blue cards to class properly signed and with all information filled out. Wear your uniforms to class.

5.  The pre-work assignment should include good research noting the source of the information by providing the title, author or institute, and date.  All work must be of original thought.  Simply copying information from the  Internet or other sources will not be accepted.

After Bechtel reviews your material (assuming that all information is submitted), you will be registered on the registration list. Cut-off will be at 30 Scouts (two classes of 15 Scouts per class).

Pre-work requirements 

1. Scouts are required to complete items 1, 3, 6 Pick One  (a, b, c, e, f, or g) & 9.
2. Send either an electronic file or a scanned version of a hard copy as an e-mail attachment to EWEngin@bechtel.com by January 30, 2013. 

Will be completed during Bechtel Engineering Day: 

1. Items 2, 4, 7, & 8 will be covered by the Counselor.
2. Items 5b & 6d will be reviewed and discussed in an Engineering Team work process setting.
