(REQUIRED PRE-WORK)

 

 

To be completed prior to Bechtel Engineering Day:

Item #1:
Hand sketch your bedroom on drawing paper with border and title block. This will include windows, doors, furniture and approximate dimensions. Prepared at home.

Item #5:
Read "Lettering" page 28-29. Write in freehand lettering why you think using CAD is useful in a particular industry. Prepared at home.

Send either an electronic file or a scanned version of a hard copy of Item #1 and Item #5 as an e-mail attachment to EWDraft@bechtel.com by January 30, 2013.  

Will be completed during Bechtel Engineering Day:

Item #2:
Using AutoCad 2000 prepare and plot the sketch from requirement 

Item #3:
Using AutoCad 2000 prepare and plot an isometric drawing of one of the items shown on page 23.

Item #4:
Using AutoCad 2000 describe in forty words or less why CAD is used in the engineering industry. Use at least five different fonts in your answer.

We will use AutoCad 2000 in this class because of its popularity.
