Bechtel's emphasis on safety began as a commonsense approach by a company that considered itself an extended family. Through the years, safety has become one of Bechtel's core values.
Project safety depends on having strong processes, good planning, thorough training, and the right equipment, along with the commitment of all project personnel. To improve tracking of high-risk scenarios and help ensure safe behavior, Bechtel has initiated an integrated planning approach that will allow project officials to anticipate needs for training, safety staff, and equipment.
