Register
How to register:
- You must first review the pre-work requirements for the class/classes that you are interested in and be committed to completing the required pre-work and turning it in on time to Bechtel.
- If you are committed to completing the pre-work (by January 30, 2013), you must then get your Scout master or assistant Scout master to e-mail Bechtel with a request for registration. Please note that NO early registrations will be accepted.
Registration for this event will begin on January 4, 2013 at 7 a.m. E-mails will be taken on a first come, first served basis. E-mails should be sent to EWBoySct@bechtel.com. (Note: Only registration requests for Boy Scouts sent to this address will be processed.) - Once classes are full, any remaining registration requests will be placed on a waiting list for that class. If you have to drop out of a class for any reason, the next scout on the waiting list will be contacted to see if he is still interested in attending. We will continue with this process until the empty spot has been filled.
After you register:
Once the initial registration is complete, you will receive an email in two to three days confirming the classes that you have been registered for, or those for which you have been placed on a waiting list. You will also receive a map, directions, and a photo release form with this confirmation email. After you receive that email confirming you have been registered, you are safe to buy the book and begin the pre-work.
The website will be updated within a few days of the initial registration with the lists of scouts registered under each class.
Pre-work:
All pre-work that you are required to complete for each class you are registered in must be turned in no later than January 30, 2013. If your pre-work isn’t turned in, your spot may be released to the next scout that wanted to attend.
The pre-work, whether an electronic file or a scanned version of a hard copy, should be attached to an email and sent to the corresponding email address for classes that you are taking.
Note: The following e-mail addresses are for pre-work submittal or pre-work questions only. No registration requests will be processed from these e-mail addresses.
We have encountered numerous issues in the past with faxed pre-work, which is why we are requiring the pre-work to be emailed directly to the counselor who will lead the class.
