Health Plan
In Australia, Bechtel offers employees and their family members company-paid hospital coverage.

Core Benefits
These core benefits are provided at no cost to employees:

•   Business travel accident insurance
•   Company paid accident insurance

Voluntary Personal Accident Insurance (VPAI)
The company provides employees with company-paid accident insurance at no cost. Additional coverage up to a principal sum of US$150,000 can be purchased for employees and their families.

Australia Superannuation Plan
Under the Choice of Super Legislation, employees are eligible to nominate a super fund of their choice. Alternatively, the Bechtel Superannuation Plan has been designed to maximise retirement savings for Bechtel employees provided through AustralianSuper. The plan provides at least the Superannuation Guarantee Charge, which is determined in accordance with federal government legislation. The plan also includes insurances for death coverage and income protection coverage (Note: Members will pay premiums for short-term income protection coverage that provides a benefit for up to two years. Bechtel will pay the premium for long-term benefits from two years until age 65.)

Employment Cost Plan (ECP)
The ECP allows employees the opportunity to tailor the mix of taxable salary and other benefits provided by Bechtel to better meet their personal needs, whilst maximising the tax effectiveness of their selections.

Employee Assistance Program
Confidential counseling services are offered at no cost to help Australia-based employees and their household members resolve personal problems such as parenting concerns, marriage and family distress, alcohol and drug abuse, emotional stress, and life crises.

Learning and Development
Bechtel invests in the development of their employees by providing a range of benefits including Bechtel University online training, mentoring and leadership programs, tuition reimbursement for approved courses, and professional membership reimbursement.
