General Manager, Pipelines
Rich Wall is responsible for Bechtel’s global pipeline business and is a key member of the senior leadership team for the Oil, Gas and Chemicals global business unit. He brings a diverse background in legal, commercial, project management, and strategic planning experience in the oil and gas, civil, power, infrastructure, and government sectors.
Prior to his current role, Rich was the president of Bechtel’s pipeline construction subsidiary. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in locations around the world on some of Bechtel’s largest engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) ventures.
Rich joined Bechtel’s legal organization in 1998, and later serving as general counsel of Bechtel’s Canadian affiliate, Bantrel. In 2007, Rich was appointed commercial manager for the Oil, Gas and Chemicals global business unit, and then transitioned to project management positions on liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects in Nigeria and Australia. Rich followed as project manager of the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project in Texas. In 2013, he became manager of strategic planning and marketing and business development for Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental global business unit. In 2014, he was appointed president of Welded Construction, L.P. Rich rejoined the Oil, Gas and Chemicals global business unit in 2016 and assumed his current role as general manager of the pipeline business.
Rich holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia and Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary.
