Paige Wilson is president of Bechtel’s Mining & Metals global business unit. He was elected a principal vice president of Bechtel Corporation in 2008.
Paige joined Bechtel in 1996 after more than 12 years working in operational and engineering capacities for a variety of mining companies. In 2003, after several years as manager of business development for Mining & Metals’ Latin America region, Paige served as general manager of the Mining & Metal’s business unit in Chile. In 2008, Paige was named Mining & Metals operations manager for the same region. Following that role, he served as executive assistant to Bill Dudley, Bechtel’s president and chief operating officer.
Under Paige’s leadership, the Mining & Metals team won major projects in Chile including the Los Bronces Expansion, Escondida Phase IV and Los Pelambres. He was instrumental in securing the Bechtel-Xstrata Copper Alliance in 2007, an innovative, long-term partnership which designed a replicable copper concentrator and support facilities. Under the agreement, Bechtel built the Antapaccay and Las Bambas projects in Peru.
Paige also worked as project director for the Las Bambas copper concentrator, one of the world’s largest copper facilities. He then returned to Chile in 2014 as the unit’s general manager for the Americas.
Paige holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in business administration, both from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.
