Women in Engineering

The more diverse the decision makers, the better the decisions.

We have taken a systematic approach to tackling diversity and inclusion on multiple levels within our organization, with a specific focus on bringing more women in engineering.

As part of this approach, we have established an enterprise-wide collaborative forum, Women@Bechtel, for both men and women to share perspectives and experiences, as well as tools for success. This global collaborative forum provides an opportunity for Bechtel women to share knowledge, perspectives, and experiences as well as to learn tools for success. Women@Bechtel is just one of many initiatives that the company is promoting to make Bechtel an employer of choice for women.

“We are committed to encouraging women into engineering careers and to keep them here.”  --  Ailie MacAdam, managing director of Bechtel's Infrastructure business in Europe and Africa winner of the UK's Top 50 Women in Engineering

Proud Supporter of Dream Big

Bechtel is sponsoring a new IMAX® film Dream Big: Engineering Our World, in the hopes of inspiring your women, and all youth, to pursue STEM careers and see the impact they can have when they dream big.

Narrated by Academy Award® winner Jeff Bridges, Dream Big is a first of its kind film for IMAX® and giant screen theaters that will transform how we think about engineering. From the Great Wall of China and the world’s tallest buildings, to underwater robots, solar cars and smart, sustainable cities, Dream Big celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small, and reveals the heart that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world.
