Bechtel achieved the highest grade in Transparency International UK’s (TI-UK) Defence Companies Anti-Corruption Index 2015, which measures the transparency and quality of ethics and anti-corruption programs. Bechtel is one of only four companies that received the highest grade in the index.

Bechtel has once again earned the highest recognition for excellence in safety from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Voluntary Protection Program for the company’s work at the Waste Treatment Plant project on the historic Hanford Site in Washington state. This marks the second time the project has achieved Star status in the program, which recognizes contractors and employees who demonstrate outstanding achievement in safety and health—above and beyond U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. In particular, the program focuses on grassroots, employee-led safety programs as well as manager involvement and follow-through.
RFID Journal has recognized Bechtel with its Best RFID Implementation Award for the company’s groundbreaking use of the tagging technology. Bechtel is using thousands of active radio frequency identification tags to manage construction materials for the three liquefied natural gas projects the company is building on Curtis Island in Queensland, Australia.
