Gabon is co-hosting the 28th African Cup of Nations (CAN) with the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. The three-week, biennial football tournament runs from 21 January to 12 February, with the final match held at Stade de l’Amitié in Gabon’s capital, Libreville.

Bechtel, through the government agency it helped establish, L’Agence Nationale des Grands Travaux (ANGT), helped Gabon prepare for the tournament.
