Bechtel maintains a staff of environmental professionals in our Power Global Business Unit and in the corporate Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) department. These specialists provide a full range of consulting services to support the power industry.

Our specialists bring the dual perspective of environmental experts, who assist our clients in siting, assessing, and permitting projects, and engineers/constructors, who understand the technical and financial challenges associated with power plant design and construction.

• Environmental awareness training or specialized training (permitting, construction compliance, stack testing)
• Development of permit acquisition strategy and detailed permitting plan (identifiying required permits and related acquisition strategy)
• Hazard and operability studies (HazOps) to support design changes/modifications (would involve other process engineering disciplines)
