Brazil National Development Plan, Brazil
To increase Brazil’s global competitiveness, government officials outlined several infrastructure enhancement goals. Bechtel, in a joint venture with a management consulting firm, led an international team of economists, urban planners, architects, engineers, and other specialists to develop a national infrastructure development plan and an associated implementation approach. Many of the initiatives and projects identified by our development plan are under consideration, in progress, or have been successfully completed.

Strategic/Government Planning, Various Locations
Bechtel has provided master planning, redevelopment plans, and design guides for several secure government facilities and institutions. Our planners develop conceptual designs, transportation plans, and facility re-use plans in accordance with the requirements of a wide variety of government installations and branches. This expansive portfolio of government work has helped Bechtel planners build extensive credentials in planning high-security compounds and government installations.

Gabon National Development Plan, Gabon
When government officials in Gabon decided to develop their national infrastructure plan, they selected Bechtel for master planning assistance. Bechtel provides management and technical support for developing a comprehensive infrastructure program. During the next 10 to 15 years, the plan will prioritize investment and development needs, while balancing Gabon’s commitment to sustainable development. In addition, Bechtel is also assisting the government to form l’Agence Nationale des Grands Travaux (National Agency for Major Projects), which will implement the master plan.
