HS1 is ‘Project of the Decade’

High Speed 1 (formerly the Channel Tunnel Rail Link) has been awarded the title of ‘Project of the Decade’ at the London Transport Awards. High Speed 1 is the first high-speed rail project in the UK and Britain's first new railway in a century. Bechtel led a consortium responsible for design, project management, and construction management which began in 1998 and was completed on time and within budget. Read the High Speed 1 press release.
