Stephen Bechtel, Jr. Gives $1 Million to Alma Mater

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana, March 2, 2006 -- Purdue has received a $1 million grant from Bechtel Chairman Emeritus Stephen Bechtel, Jr., university officials announced yesterday. The grant -- renewable for up to four additional years -- will expand the university's educational research efforts to foster an interest in science and engineering in K-12 classrooms.
